I was pulling day duty today in Alpine with my two little girls and the sun was out for most of the day with the odd quick snowshower throughout the day. Michelle, my wife was up with everyone today and when she got back it was amazing how different a day it was there compared to here. 20 cm's over night and 20 cm's during the day, and it was snowing 5 cm an hour at our base. Insane. 20 minutes away and it's that different. It's so great to be the mountains the storms hit right when they come off the ocean. Andrew from Toad Hall Studios was up and he's going to be driving Jorge and Sean nuts tomorrow when he tells them how good it was. The new cats are so fast. It was another 10 run day and everyone was home by 4:30 just like the mountain. Our average day is definitely more than it was last year. We had to stay out so late that people wouldn't get home til 6:30 just to bag 10 runs. Now 10 runs and home in time for some apres beers at the GLC. Just when you have the apres beers don't tell to many people how great your day was. Someone might get a rope. Yeah Pisten Bully more horespower, more runs. Kelsey from Kimberley was out with her boyfriend Bob. Here's one of her less than great moments. If ya can't burn your friends for good wipeouts... who can ya burn?
