-22 Aye Yi Yi! It was a wicked day. The cold was kind of a shock after three weeks of -5 pow dumps. It sure was nice to see the sun. Art and Mike from Rumson, NJ and Jonathan from Breck and Jim from Vail/Beaver Creek scored Big Kahuna, and slayed it. Legendary guitarist and Juno award winner Lester Quitzau was up getting his shred on too. Lester was one of the first people I ever rode with back in the early 80’s. He’s still so fast. We’ll have more pictures up as soon as we get the pictures from the photographers that were training. Don Schwartz shot these ones. Kinda nice to get shot by Don. I spent my first 15 years as a photographer for Transworld and Snowboarder with Don as my main subject. After all the covers I shot of him it was nice to get payback. I think we’ll have to get him in the union. He’s got skills. I guess I’m out of a job! Paul Horton, “AKA - Double Double” Don’s teammate in the National Boardercross Teams “Quest for Olympic Glory” was hitting the Park and Huck cliff. The sun is out, today the 12th and we are hitting Cypress for only the second time this year. Awwww yeah! Gord had to cut the road to the peaks through a 70 foot bank. The roads are in to the peaks and the shred is on! I can’t wait to see the photos from the next few days, it should be epic.
