Jim McDonald and Phil Wigglesworth were up over New Years and the snow hasn't stopped since. We've received 310 cm's in the last week and it's snowing so hard it's like you are riding through a snowbank. AWESOME!!!! We've received 45 overnight and it seems like the same amount today. One of the things you forget about when yo are skiing or riding with professional guides is, how much safer you are than just out riding looking for freshies on your own. Our guides know every square inch and every vertical inch of our ski area so when it snows this hard and it's face shots you are after, they will get them for you safely and in great abundance. I think even if you straightlined every run we have you would still be getting face shots today. Best of all it's supposed to keep dumping.  Get on it.

Brew Ridge Ridden for the first time

by kenach 3. January 2008 05:43
Playground number three has now been cracked. The new road that goes about a kilometer along Brew Ridge was explored on the first day of 2008 and "WOW!" was everyones response. The runs are about 1200 vertical feet of sheer fantastic-ness. (Yes, that is a made up word) In a cat full of old friends we dropped into parts unknown. Dano Pendygrasse a senior photographer for Future Snowboarding Magazine named the first area as he dropped in saying Ready Set Go! So Ready, Set, Go! it is. 800 vertical of epic old growth and then about 400 or so of perfect open fields of powder with little trees to roop around. We dropped run after run and everyone was better than the one before. One was named Smurfland. The bottom of Smurfland became Gargamels when we had a 400 vert of the most amazingly tight trees I've almost ever been through. So tight we spotted a Sasquatch. So no we won't be skiing Smurfland again. At least for 15 years anyway. That's when it's slated to be harvested. So in 15 years get ready to ride Smurfland. Till then... Ready - Set - Go!
